Glass flakes are glass fragments that are 1-8 micrometers thick. It is made from molten alkali glass above 1200 ℃, through high-temperature and high-pressure blowing, cooling, crushing, screening, and grinding processes. The anticorrosive coating with this glass flake as filler has high adhesion, excellent chemical resistance and anti-aging performance. Glass flake coating is a special treatment of flake like glass (including alkali glass, C glass) filled in thermosetting resin. Compared with alkali free fibers (alkali free glass, E glass) used for reinforcement, the composition ratio is completely different.
